Steve Roder has over 30 years of experience dealing with global companies working across markets in Asia covering strategy, regulatory matters, finance, capital markets and transactions, with a focus on the financial services sector. Steve retired as Manulife Group CFO in 2018 after nearly 6 years. Prior to that, he was one of the co-founders of Peak Reinsurance. He is also an Advisor to Temasek and a director of Resolution Life. Prior to co-founding Peak Re, Steve was the Group Chief Financial Officer of AIA, where he led the IPO preparation programme. He also acted as the lead interface with fourteen regulators, including in Hong Kong, Singapore and Bermuda. Prior to AIA, he was the Asia Pacific Chairman of Financial Services at KPMG and served as a partner in Hong Kong/China, Japan and London.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Social Science degree from the University of Southampton, UK. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
