Our team

Dick is a Partner at Serendipity Capital and brings with him 20 years of experience in private markets investing. Serendipity Capital invests in companies that enhance and secure the critical technologies and infrastructure of tomorrow. It is focused on disruptive thematics and technologies including AI and ML, climate and sustainability, quantum technologies and security. Dick co-leads the Investments Team and will work closely with a number of Serendipity Capital’s portfolio companies.

Dick joins us from Le Mercier’s Capital, a Singapore-based family office, where he served as Head of Private Investments. In this role, Dick led a team responsible for originating, negotiating, and executing private equity, venture capital, and private credit transactions. His investments have spanned diverse sectors, including critical infrastructure, oil & gas, venture, and agri-tech, with deal sizes ranging from US$10 million to US$50 million. Dick also represented the family office on boards and strategic advisory roles, actively driving portfolio liquidity strategies.

Prior to that, Dick held investment roles at Citadel Investment Group, Merrill Lynch and UBS Investment Bank,, where he managed private equity and private credit portfolios of up to US$500 million in infrastructure, healthcare, telecommunications and real estate across Asia Pacific. Dick started his career as an Investment Banker at UBS, followed by Merrill Lynch.

Dick holds a Master’s in Chemistry from Oxford University.
